AUTHOR'S NOTE
One of the pleasures of being a writer is the opportunity to try new things. Although fiction is my first love, some projects are best suited to different genres.
In addition to my two newest mysteries, The Weaver’s Revenge (Chloe Ellefson #11) and Lies of Omission (Hanneke Bauer #1), I recently published Balancing: Poems of the Female Immigrant Experience in the Upper Midwest, 1830-1930, spotlighting compelling stories I’ve discovered in decades of research.
I’ve also written two nonfiction books, Too Afraid to Cry: Maryland Civilians in the Antietam Campaign, and A Settler’s Year: Pioneer Life Through the Seasons. Perhaps something here will appeal to you.
