  Author Signing - Norwegian Christmas Event - Vesterheim Museum - Decorah IA

Logo of Vesterheim Norwegian-American Museum.Meet Kathleen Ernst, the bestselling author of the award-winning Chloe Ellefson Historic Sites mysteries and get an autographed copy of any of her nine Chloe books, including Heritage of Darkness, (set in Decorah at Vesterheim), and the just released The Lacemaker's Secret, set in Green Bay and the Belgian commuities of Door County, Wisconsin.

The signing will run from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Saturday, December 1st, in the museum's wonderful gift store, during Vesterheim's popular and always delightful Norwegian Christmas event.

  Authors Talk - Water, Woods & The Pioneer Life: The Writing Process & Publication - Madison WI

Logo of 702 WI Writers Group.Kathleen joins fellow authors Jerry Apps and Marnie Mamminga for a special panel discussion on writing about the life and landscapes of Wisconsin and the Midwest.  

They'll share their thoughts with the audience on the writing process, the publishing world, and their particular works.

Attendees are welcome to ask questions and participate in the discussion, and books by all of the authors will be for sale, to be signed afterward.

This discussion will be moderated by Kristin Gilpatrick from the Wisconsin Historical Society Press, which is co-sponsoring the event with the 702WI Writer Incubator.

Kathleen is under contract to Midnight Ink Books to deliver Fiddling With Fate for publication in September 2019.

  Free Public Workshop - Food Traditions: Remembering and Writing - Write On Door County - Fish Creek WI

Kathleen will be teaching a free, half-day public workshop about how to recall, record, and celebrate the food traditions of your family or community. This event is open to adults and teensno writing or culinary experience needed. 

Precious family stories are often shared around the table, and many involve special recipes themselves. This workshop will include several writing activities designed to help capture food-related memories. We’ll also briefly discuss techniques for preserving original recipes, and explore various creative options for presenting recipes and memories. 

Participation is free, but prior registration is required. Seats are limited and will be filled on a first come basis. Join Kathleen from 1-4 PM, February 8th, in the popular resort village of Fish Creek, WI. For more details about the workshop and how to register, click HERE.
