Join bestselling author Kathleen Ernst on a picturesque illustrated journey through the seasonal experiences that shaped the lives of Wisconsin's European and Yankee settlers.

She will be the keynote speaker at the annual meeting of the Richfield Historical Society on Thursday, October 24th, at the Richfield Fire Station Hall.

Her hour-long program begins at 7:00 PM and is free and open to the public.

Kathleen knows this topic well. She worked for twelve years as the Curator of Collections and Interpretation at Old World Wisconsin, and is the author of the non-fiction history book A Settler's Year: Pioneer Life through the Seasons published by the Wisconsin Historical Society Press.

Afterwards she will answer audience questions, and sign books (copies will be available for purchase).

Kathleen is a frequent guest on Wisconsin Public Radio's The Larry Meiller Show, and one of her Chloe Ellefson mysteries, A Memory of Muskets, was read by Jim Fleming on WPR's Chapter A Day program.

Kathleen writes award-winning mysteries, historical fiction, and non-fiction books for adults and young readers. Her work has earned numerous honors, including two lifetime achievement awards, an Emmy for educational television, and an Edgar Allan Poe and multiple Agatha Christie mystery award nominations. To date readers have purchased some 1.8 million copies of Kathleen's thirty-seven published books.
