AUTHOR'S NOTE

The Chloe Ellefson mysteries, set primarily in the 1980s, feature a museum curator determined to bring early settlers’ stories to light. The Hanneke Bauer mysteries, set in the 1850s, star a German-speaking immigrant struggling to find her place in Wisconsin.

Murders, of course, complicate both of their lives.

Although the two series are dramatically different, each explores the Upper Midwest’s historic places and rich cultural heritage. I hope you enjoy!
